At HECDA, we understand what families are looking for when one or both parents work. We operate our center as if our own children were enrolled, and many of them are! Every choice we make, everything we do revolves around family – yours and ours. We take pride in our staff, our abilities, and most of all – our quality of care and child education. “Setting the standard in child education” is not just our slogan, it’s how we run our business. We learn your child’s strengths and build on them with stimulating activities and lots of positive reinforcement.
Our educators are not only warm and nurturing, they’re all qualified. We believe in continued training and core initiatives to keep our staff knowledgeable, happy and motivated. Happy employee’s make for happy children! We encourage parents (and grandparents!) to be involved in their child’s care and education at HECDA. Parents are always welcome, as are your suggestions. We regularly survey our parents and welcome your feedback. Together, we are partners in your child’s care and development. Mission Statement At Houston Early Childhood Development Academy, our goal is to give each child a warm environment that encourages the development of academic skills, socialization skills, independence, and a positive self-image. Our experienced teaching staff embraces the philosophy that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of social, physical, and intellectual development. Our teachers demonstrate their respect for children by encouraging them to think for themselves, to make decisions, to work towards their own solutions, and express their own ideas and feelings. We recognize and foster an active partnership between home and school, parents and educators. Our programs are based upon the principles of developmentally appropriate activities and instruction. Our spacious classrooms are clean and bright, and designed to be developmentally appropriate to the age group that uses it. We believe in lots of outdoor play, sunshine and fresh air.
